In an effort to comply with the glut of agriculture specific regulations, agricultural employers sometimes overlook the myriad of generally applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations. Unfortunately, these laws create additional potential landmines for employers. This presentation will address some of the more common statutory and common law claims agricultural employers need to be aware of and include personnel management techniques for avoiding costly administrative action and litigation.
